More of the summer happenings around here....

This was a common picture of us, watching Malachi this summer.  There was the potential of 6 practices a week!
Cale, Cosette, and Sadie did a great job of watching and waiting....and lots of snacks on the sidelines helped too!

Malachi's first meet in Derby.  It was only after 1 real practice!  They put him in 4 events, he did really good considering he practiced
all winter in a little 10 yard pool and then Valley Center has a 50 yard pool and this was a 50 METER pool!

Malachi has a pretty good game face! Don't you think?

He hasn't had any instruction on his starts.  In fact, most of the time, he'd jump in feet first and then go.  Oh well.

Malachi ended up swimming all four strokes.  His favorite was butterfly,
although it still needs lots of work, he didn't get disqualified when he swam it!
I guess he'll take after his mom, I loved swimming butterfly.

It was hard work, but we were really proud of Malachi for being diligent and working hard.  He wanted to go to both
the morning and night practices. Its amazing how giving them ribbons motivates them!
